235 - NEW YORK LOSES ITS FLARE TODAY
ID# 235.1
From: Travis ([email protected]) - 13 October 2002
The word is out people, new york is no longer at the top. Hong Kong has more
scrapers than any other City on the planet. And they are all new and shiny.
New York steps down today, the day the news was officially released. 10-12-02.
It'll never be the same. Also could someone tell me which skyline is more
impressive between new york and chicago, or hong kong if you've been there.

Haven't, frankly, had the interest to study the issue or the definition
of a skyscraper, but let the startups have their moment. As for the skyline,
not only does NYC have two skylines in Manhattan, the question is
personally rather uninteresting after 9/11 -- the urban planners from Afghan
caves gave a rather final blow [excuse the choice of a word] to the NYC
skyline for now and in the future... Even Trump backed off from a
superhighrise development -- that should give an inkling of the moral
hit taken. ED
