Wher can I find information on how the world trade centre was constructed Foundation type, type of structure, cladding systems etc.
The following books have info on the World Trade Center, NYC.
100 of the World's Tallest Buildings, by the council on Tall Bldgs & Urban Habitat
w/I Zaknic, M. Smith & D. Rice. See page 202..."Built on six acres of landfill, the
foundations extend 70 feet below ground to rest on solid bedrock... " and
"...closely spaced exterior columns and beams form a steel tube which, together
with the internal frame, made it possible to withstand not only gravity loads but
even more critically the wind loads....at the very top the maximum drift is just
three feet..."
More in-depth and with broader scope of information is in the book, New York 1960,
by Stern, Mellins & Fishman. See pages 198-206 in particular. "The aluminum
clad towers." and "Trade Center was structurally innovativewas held up mostly
by the closely spaced exterior columns, which, together with their cross members,
formed a right-square or Vierendeel-type truss"
Theres plenty more in this book.
The Structural Engineer was Skilling , Helle, Christiansen & Robertson.
The architect: Minoru Yamasaki and Assoc.
The structural Engineer Leslie E. Robertson (I hope I spelled it correctly) gave
a lecture at the Skyscraper Museum in NYC last fall. I'm sure the Skyscraper
Museum has gathered much information about the construction of the World Trade
Center. They have a website: WWW.Skyscraper.org

They're gone. both 110 story WTC Towers. WTC Tower 7 (47 stories) has collasped. WTC Tower 5 (54 stories 747ft.) is buckling, and may collapse.
No need, She is gone now and forever Unfortunantly and will be missed. She was a good old girl, she stood out among the rest and in a since, was a work of
art.
Where is the Japanese guy who designed her and why hasn't he come forward and gone on the news?
If Al-Qaeda terrorists - or some dupe used by them - had set out to research the Twin Towers in terms of inflicting maximum damage by hurling large, fuel-laden aircraft at them, what would have been the best sources as far as you can tell?
