Need some info. for a project.
how big, or how many pages, or how many cds, disks, does it take to store a
blue print of an average skyscraper?
i would like the blue prints to the nyc world trade center twin towers
I am also interested in finding some information on architectural aspects of the
WTC Towers, for a presentation I will make next week to a group of Structural
Engineers and Architects of this city.
Specifically, I would like to have some drawings of the inner core of the towers,
at different levels, since I presume that the number of elevators and staircases
were reduced in the upper floors.
I would also like to have a brief description, supported by a drawing, explaining
the operation of the elevator system throughout the height of the towers: number
of elevators, transfers at intermediate levels, etc..
Finally, I am interested in learning more about the floor system, and specially
the main steel trusses and their support details, since supposedly they had some
rubber pads, to absorb sway movements of the tower, which would have been burnt
by the fire, thus jeopardizing the stability of the structural system.
If you could assist me with this, I would greatly appreciate it.
Best regards,
Boris Rosana, B.C.E.(RPI), M.Sc.(Cornell).
