i'm architecture student from australia... i would like to know How to
american skyscrapers of the 1920s differ from those of the 1890s? Why do
they differ? Please help me out.......urgent......

The iron frame of many 1890s buildings made way for the frame with
steel members; the style of massively rising block-like towers was
replaced by the "set-back" aesthetic of tiered massing, the skyscraper
got its own style that evolved fully in the 1930s; the technical
improvements in in-building equipment for
improved efficiency and comfort, for starters... ED
