I am a third year student at Liverpool John Moores University.
I am currently researching the architecture in the Lower Manhattan area as part of
my degree coursework. I will be travelling to New York on the 15th February, and as
part of this field visit I am looking to set up interviews with people who have
knowledge of the history of the architecture in the area.
Any suggestions as to useful people to contact, museums or institutions to visit, or
literature to read would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks, Robert Jones.
The Skyscraper Museum used to be at 44 Wall St. (I discovered it while I was walking throug Manhattan one day) but it moved and I am not sure of the address now but it is probobly at www.skyscraper.org
I reccomend that if possible, you but the Unique Media illustrated map of Manhattan. It has the names of almost all skyscrapers in lower and mid Manhattan on a beautifully rendered watercolour print.
