Hi folks, just wanted to add (and ask) my two cents...
The Flatiron Building is originally called The Fuller Building...
If anyone has every heard the phrase '23-skidoo', it comes from the Flatiron..
When first built, so it is told, the building created such a wind that men would
gather there and watch the womens dresses blow upwards in the draft...the police
would then come by and chase the men away. The police would say, 'time for a
23-skidoo' and then chase them off...the '23' comes from the street on which the
building sits, 23rd street...
Now, for the Chrysler Building...
It seems as tho everyone wants to get the the top of the building...well, good
luck, unless ya know someone..
A friends boss needed to take a client to the top(Its a NYC thing) and sent her
over to the building to bribe the guard, who promptly turned down a thousand
dollars..
I am currently working on a webpage dedicated to the building, so check for it
in a few weeks, which will include artifacts I've collected on the building,
photos, etc.....

Thought I had more to say, but I gues not :)
