At the moment I am looking for pictures from famous buildings, which appeared in films. I mainly looking for buildings, which played an important, non-real, role in these films. For example, the building form Ghostbusters1 where the final battle happens. Of course this building in reality is no meeting point for ghosts, but it really exists.
Do you know, if the building was really designed by the architect "Ivan Shandor" (spelling may differ a little), as told in the movie?

  The building in Ghostbusters is 55 Central Park West, a massive Art Deco apartment building at 66th Street, across the street from Tavern on the Green in Central Park. The building has an imposing decor of spiky themes on the lower facade, contrasting with the dark brown brickwork. ED.

  Yes, it was 55 Central Park West. Though the original building is only 15 stories in height, the movie producers extended it by 20 stories. Notice also how in the movie, the address is masked by adding a "0" to the number and making the building 505 Central Park West. If you want a picture of the "Ghostbusters building", look for the New York edition of the "Eyewitness Travel Guides"
